Western Pacific Deployment - 1979:
Port of call: Hong Kong - Jumbo Floating Restaurant Interior

Photograph by author

WESTPAC 79 - Hong Kong - Aberdeen - Jumbo interior

The ornate interior of the floating restaurant was almost as flamboyant as the energetic serving staff and colorful foods.

This is the Emperor's Room in "JUMBO",  the world's largest floating restaraunt. The wait staff bustled about the interior of this giant eatery like NFL running backs. They dodged each other, patrons, and the tables and chairs. It was wild to watch. Despite  the distance from the remote kitchens, the food always arrived wonderfully hot.
