		Dependents Cruise - 1981: Port of call: Lahaina, Maui

	The USS LOS ANGELES, SSN-688 embarked upon a dependents cruise to Maui, Hawaii on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, in 1981. The ship visited Lahaina and after several days of liberty, departed the island with family members of the ship's crew and officers. This was an opportunity for family to peek into the life of their sailors. A "little" storm whipped a big surprise for Captain Beedle and crew. There were a lot of sea sick family and crew that day.
