There is nothing like a bed with clean, crisp sheets in a cool, air conditioned hotel after a hot night on the town. Rooms in Olongapo, Subic, and other nearby towns were plentiful and inexpensive. You could stay at the King's Suite at the Montemar Inn for six dollars a night back in May of 1991.
